Here to talk about playoffs. I don't think that there should be two champs since it's one league name. My idea is to keep the first four teams from each division and seed them like robert said 1-8 (AA,AB,B). The winner of these divisions should play the winner of the AAA seedings which then creates the Aztec league championship game. We could also have a world series by having the winner of the Aztec league play the winner of Heredia league in a best of three.

This seasons playoff will be slightly different. One of the suggestions I have heard was all playoffs series should be the best of 3 series. At first glance I don't have a problem with this but the main issue is time. Do we want to wait 6 weeks for the playoffs to end. Another issues is that only 2 teams from each division could only make the playoffs. Sounds tough. What do you guys think?

Instead of a 3 game series why not add 2 more teams in triple A playoffs. Top 2 seeds get first round byes and end it in 3 weeks?
Don't be giving the trophy away so soon. This AAA will be competitive to the end. Doesn't matter if you go undefeated. Lose once in the playoffs and so much for that nice season...

Surprisingly, the 0 and 7 brooklyn dodgers had the most fans in attendance this week; maybe all season. With a handful of beautiful women, they watched them lose by 18 runs and still managed to look fine!

Every game should count as 2 games for each team. 1 for the opponent they are facing and 1 for the umpires.
You talk about the rules of the league and how you calculate the standings, but yet each time you contradict everything you say.
Since you do make a profit why don't you pay the extra money for descent umpires cause the teams pay way too much for the shitty umpires. which half don't know the rules of the game, nor can speak proper English. Some even hold grudges against teams and players. Your league is very unprofessional and you are ripping off the players.
I have already spoke to the court house and will be starting a petition against you and the league.

This kind of bugs me when teams complain, you know you are playin on Sunday so don't be surprised when u get scheduled Sunday. Robert n joe do their best to put up schedules, if they could they would schedule the entire season all at once but as you know some fields can't be used from time to time or a field gets taken away. That's probably why they schedule games later in the week or when they're assured of the fields being used. Let's just be ready to go anytime, they're doing their best to run this league smoothly.
I have some horrible news to report, a good man has passed away at 30 years young of a heart attack. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet has gone off to a better place. He was a guy that was on my '98 hs team n was a big part of our success. One of the best pure hitters you will come across. His teammates, opponents, and everyone who knew him have only great things to say about him. RIP Miguel "Morro" Lopez. You will be missed.
Why does it always take so long to put up the Schedule?
The schedule is posted when we have confirmed all of the information for that week. For example, last week we were told that Montclair HS varsity would not be available because they decided to seed it. So the schedule had to be updated to reflect that. This week the schedule will not be posted until Friday because there are 25 teams that have their 2nd half fees due. After the meeting on Thursday we will know which teams will continue. So the schedule will be posted on Friday after 12pm.

WOW!!! I'm shock Mondy, that is some horrible and devastating news!! He was my teammate at the 2000 All-Star game, I played against him several times in HS. He was a true person, soft spoken and very polite! I never heard him say a bad word, he will be truly missed! My condolences and prayers go to his family; may he RIP!!! I'm totally shock...

Man, i was there, i saw that great game happen, but to be honest, the Knights should of put that team down in 5 innings. The Reds got lucky, the Knights made some terrible errors that allowed the Reds back into the game. In the end though, Danny kept his team composed, and those great hitters he has came thru in the end. Watch out for those Knights, they are a great team.
I think the Phillies and Santa Maria should play at other fields and at different times like everybody else get them out of there comfort zone and see other umpires strike zones. ETC. Homefeild advantage all season long. This has been going on for to long.
No one cares about the Ca Knights or the White Sox, if you're playing vs teams that make 10 errors your team is a non-factor. I've seen a few innings in the lower division teams it's a joke in how slow the game is. I've never heard someone say that AB team from years ago was so darn good. Live in the moment and come play vs some competition before you post that you're all that.

Ok you need to notify your umpires of that rule, because they do not enforce it or care when a team contests the uniform, all the team does is switch uniform items between innings for the players on the field.
The Phillies are in a comfort zone playing at Upland memorial the whole season long playoffs etc. They need to be moved around this will make more intresting.
Moving the phillies and santa maria around a bit will make things more intresting for everybody. To have decent teams playing every game and playoffs at there home field gives them a greater advantage.

They have quite a few high schools, but who cares what fields the Fontana league has. If you care about how great their fields are, then go play for them. Competition is descent, its the umpires that suck and they get way way way over paid for their complete ignorance on the field.

This season is going by great... the only real problem ive seen here is with one of the umps. we have had the same ump the last two weeks and last week he gave both of the teams a warning about our players arguing balls and strikes, one of my players argues balls and strikes and gets thrown out,i accepted it and didnt argue with him. however, this week we had an issue where their catcher and their pitcher almost ate the blues alive with everything they said yet nothing was said to them, even though both teams were warned prior to the game... thats fine, but then he tells me that he cant do anything about the fans yelling and i said that i didnt care about the fans, however, at the end of the game, and throughout all of the game, they were over there celebrating and chattering it up with the players on the other team, at the end of the game our fans were messing around with him saying we shouldnt pay them, note this our players didnt say a word, he gets all mad leaves and says "i"ll get my money from jose, see how things work out with him" i never said i wasnt going to pay him and from the way i see it if he couldnt control their fans how could i control ours, i found it totally uncalled for how he could expect our fans and players mad seeing how he was with them... o well whatever, it happens
In responce to the knights game,about players relaying signs from second base to a batter, there is a rule in major league baseball for this issue. a player should be ejected from the game if his shouting out the signs to the batter or if his putting up numbers with his fingers to relay the pitch being pitch to the batter. there is other ways to relay signs with out being so ovius.

Wanted to respond to the "Knights Korner" article. To say that a player on 2B relaying your catchers signs to the hitter is cheating is absolutely ridiculous. There is a reason why you should mix up the signs when u have a player in 2B. Do u not watch baseball? If u are foolish enough to put down one sign that's your own fault. That, is NOT cheating. It's part of the game. Teach ur catcher to have a sequence of signs for your pitcher. This by no means "disrespects the game." I'm a pitcher myself... And if a player at 2B can see my signs, that's my own fault. I will call the catcher out and switch up my sequence.

That's a good question. Remember we started the AA season with 12 teams. After a few games it became obvious that some teams were not in the right divisions. So after we changed the teams the AA division became a 10 team division. You will play everyone in your division at least once before the season ends.

Hey... I know playoffs have already been talked about... but just had an idea. You have the AAA playoffs, AA vs. A, and AB vs. B like already has been determined. but then have the winner of the AA vs. A and AB vs. B play each other. And the winner of that game play the AAA champ. I think it would make for some very competitive baseball.
Certified umpires always sounds like a good idea because they are more consistent in their strike zone but 90% of the time umpires do not loose us the games it's just easy to blame someone else when you can't pitch, hit or field all that well. Certified umpires will charge somewhere in the range of $80, won't chalk the field, or carry their set of bases. I don't know about other teams but it seems like I barely get $50. Maybe we have to try this and learn the hard way?
I don't know how the white sox are in AB and they are killing everybody. they have been in A for years and to move down and kill everyone and not be moved up is weird. last season my team started out 5-0 and we got moved up. maybe next season we will move to B so we can win a cheap championship too. seriously though some teams should have been moved early like maybe in week 3 but i know its hard trying to even the divisions out...

Now that's just silly having a player umpire! Having two umpires should be a must, the field is too big to cover n sometimes the action is too fast but most fields have 2 umpires. Don't they?
I have been watching many pro baseball games on TV. Every game you can see multiple players complain at the strike zone. that's with veteran professional umpires. 4 on the field. I don't think ours are that bad. Do they make mistakes, yes. But that is part of the game.

I have a call into an umpire association. I am in the process of determining how much a CIF certified umpire goes for today. I would like to have them start with the AAA division. This will hopefully move the better umpires down to the AA and so on. I will keep everyone posted.

I hope no one takes this the wrong way. First of all we all pay $5 a week umpire fees.$20 a month.life insurance for About $20 a month for $100000. If we can play ball we can pay for life insurance. If you don't this should be awake up call. Miguel was way to young for this. Very unexpected. The fact that some teams do not have rosters is a team issue. If a team does not have a roster, prior to the start of a game, a team can protest the game just follow the league rules for protests. There is already 1 protest that has been submitted.

I think it is fucked up that Miguel Lopez paid hundreds of his own money towards the team fee every season for a few punk ass white boys too mooch off him and not pay shit for the season and then just give up halfway through the season. Miguel always paid extra money for umpire fees and other fees for the league, but instead of pitching in some money to help out or even pitch in for the fundraiser. The moment Santa Maria said they would pay them to play, they ran like little bitches. Fuck them.

I know this is an old post but I just read it. Does not surprise me, this team is looks for any excuse. Anyways, decided to comment as I watched them play a a few months ago maybe even last season,- because of something that did not go there way they wanted to fight the other team and a couple of their players started throwing gang signs everywhere and showing off gang tats.. a lot of kids in the stands that day most of them on from their side. Dangerous situation and the fact that they do this in front of kids more that anything their own kids shows a complete disregard for......hmmmmmm EVERYTHING! they were saying the same thing about the race of the blue btw.. no respect for the game.

Wrong..!! If you believe that you can't do this in Sunday league then you are putting you self in a position of disadvantage. Our league rules are MLB rules btw.. don't get upset because YOU think this SHOULD NOT be done. Of course the team that is relaying signs should also NOT be surprised if someone gets hit or when a little chin music goes their way. There are a lot of "tricks" that are exceptable but peaking while your batting, or fake tags are chicken shit plays. I have seen many teams completely disrespecting the game in many ways, this shows that type of coaching players had growing up.

Most people that have a real helpful tip or good constructive criticism don't post their name because Robert just bullshits people. I have come to him multiple times and not once has he done anything. Just made excuses and blew smoke up my ass.
I hope you understand that just because you think its a good constructive criticism or suggestion that it can or will be implemented. I don't understand how that has anything to do with posting your name but that's fine. Lets get this out in the opening because the people that complain about me always talk about these mysteries suggestions that I ignore or blow smoke up their asses. Please state exactly what specific suggestion you made and I ignored. If I made a mistake, I will admit it here for all to see but at least give me the opportunity to publicly answer these suggestions.

What's everyone's thoughts on making AAA wood bat?
We have had two umpires two weeks in a row. The calls on the field have gotten better by 90%. No bitching and complaining by either side has been great and has helped the game go faster. I would say before the League decides to start replacing umpires make them team up umpires and if that doesn't help then start replacing the ones that need to be replaced. What do you think Robert?
It's ridiculous how Robert and Jose favor some teams in this league.... there's a handful of teams that do and get whatever they want just because they are good friends with them!! You have special treatment for these teams but when other teams ask for the same, your answer is always "those are the rules, you have to follow them".... I mean c'mon are you here to be the boss or are you here to be their friends!! Have the same rules for everybody and treat every team the same!!!

Give examples please. And Robert its simple new blog rule . If you try to put up negative blog with no name it does not get put out period. If people don't like it they will stop posting. If it needed to be seen, they will post with name. If they are so unhappy with your league they can go elsewhere.
It really amazes me how players and teams complain and complain about everything about this league, Robert and Jose, the fields and everything else yet they keep coming back season after season. There are plenty of other leagues around go find one and stop bitching and hiding behind an "anonymous" name.

A game in which our 9th player was our Manager, who never plays. Its Sunday Adult league, and you are protesting games. You should be ashamed of yourself. If you can’t win on the field, don’t even bother showing up. Good Luck next time you face us. Try not to protest the game.
And for Robert and Jose, when a team sends you 4 emails with pics and info for each player for the roster, do your damn jobs and put the pics up. Or at least have the spine to admit you made a mistake. Instead of ruling in favor of a worthless protest, that you know damn well is bullshit. Or let us play them again and that game be worth 2.
Rodriguez maybe if you knew the details to as why we play at Alta Loma every Sunday you would understand. But nothing needs to be explained to you. If more people pitched in and helped the league instead of bitch and complain about I'm sure more would be done for them.
